National Occupational Standards for Debt Collections - your help is needed! | |||||
| Standard-setting body the Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC) is calling for views on new National Occupational Standards planned for Debt Collections. National Occupational Standards are industry performance standards setting out requirements for effective performance in the workplace. They have a variety of uses which can save an organisation time and money. These include: recruitment and selection, competence assessment, training design and delivery, and drawing up person specifications and job descriptions. The draft National Occupational Standards for Debt Collections are accompanied by a short questionnaire, and they are currently available at the following link from the FSSC website: http://www.fssc.org.uk/531_14.html?i=2 The closing date for responses is Friday 27 February, although some general comments about the draft Standards will also be very helpful from those who don´t have time to complete the questionnaire in full. "Market volatility and regulatory change mean that getting occupational standards right for these areas is more vital than ever," said FSSC Director of Education Sam Rees-Adams. "It is important that a wide range of practitioners get involved in these consultations and provide feedback on the draft Standards, so that the final versions will represent good practice and be fit for purpose." The FSSC will be happy to publicise on their website the names of organisations involved in the consultation, at the end of this project, and further information about it can be obtained from Chris Kennedy, Assistant Standards Manager (mailto: chris.kennedy@fssc.org.uk).
